As we all are adapting to the spread of Covid-19, I am also adapting my practice to continue my commitment to your physical, spiritual and mental health.
I have recently begun providing video-counseling rather than in-office counseling. This way, your sessions can continue without the risk of exposure to possible contagion, and without your having to leave home. I'm excited about the benefits this provides. Please contact me via the contact page on this site if you'd like to set up an online session.
As of now, session hours will remain as usual, 8 am -6 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. As we progress I may be able to make some changes to this.
During uncertain times, it is more important than ever that we work to stay in contact with friends and loved ones. Make it a practice to reach out to someone else daily through phone, text or email. Necessary social distancing can activate our God-given longing for connection and motivate us to cherish our loved ones in a fresh, creative way.
However, the most life-giving and necessary connection we each need to maintain is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Meeting Him through His word and communicating with Him in prayer must be our daily priority. It is there that we will be nourished by His words of strength and love, truth and mercy. He tells us:
"But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works." Ps 73:28 (ESV)
We will find no safer-or truly good-place than in His presence. I pray you will find in your refuge in Him as we move ahead, knowing we are secure in His strong love.
